Evan Twomey & Robert Hill

EVAN TWOMEY has a background in species distribution ecology, habitat selection, and biogeography in the genus Ameerega. He has also worked closely with Jason Brown on the taxonomy and systematics of Peruvian poison frogs. Though currently residing in the US, Evan has spent over a year living in Tarapoto, Peru while conducting field research for his masters thesis and for the monitoring of the INIBICO project. Evan is currently doing a PhD with Kyle Summers, focusing on mate choice in the context of mimicry in Ranitomeya imitator.

ROBERT HILL has been interested in reptiles and amphibians as long as he can remember, and has maintained and bred several species. He is currently working at the Atlanta Botanical Garden as an Amphibian Specialist. Prior to this, Robert worked in the Herpetology Department of Zoo Atlanta. At the garden, he works with several species of frogs from Latin America, in particular species from mid-high elevation regions of Panama. His other work includes working closely with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and University of Georgia to headstart and reintroduce imperiled Gopher Frogs and ongoing disease surveys in the state’s diverse salamander populations.
